This book presents selected papers from the II International Conference 'Ecosystems without Borders 2021', held at Kaliningrad State Technical University in Kaliningrad, Russia on October 5-7, 2021.

Materials of the book 'Ecosystems without Borders - Opportunities and Challenges' include theoretical and spatial aspects of ecosystems, features of the formation of a creative class in these conditions, as well as studies reflecting transformation of ecosystems, both in terms of innovations and in science, technology and business.

This book will be of interest to a wide range of readers, such as practicing economists, students, graduate students and researchers, as well as government employees and company managers.


Polyakov Ruslan Konstantinovich, holder of a PhD in Economics, associate professor in 'Economics and Management of the National Economy' (regional economy). In addition to being an associate professor at the Department of Economics and Finance, he also manages research activities at Kaliningrad State Technical University, and holds a position of executive director of the Association called 'Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Cluster of the Kaliningrad Region'. He is also related to the leading manufacturing companies in the Kaliningrad region in the field of shipbuilding and ship repair. He is an expert of the Innovation Promotion Foundation - RSCI.RU for evaluating innovative projects in the field of digital technology and intelligent manufacturing technologies. He supervises several undergraduate and doctoral students at Kaliningrad State Technical University. He teaches master degree courses at the Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk, and also participates in scientific events at the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and Short-Term Forecasting (CMASF) and The Baltic University Program (BUP) in Uppsala (Sweden).
